Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC) finished 3-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Kesa Van Osch (Parksville, BC) 6-5, then won 7-6 against Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC). Thompson went on to lose 11-6 against Diane Gushulak (New Westminster, BC). Thompson lost 6-5 to Brette Richards (Kelowna, BC). Thompson lost 8-6 to Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC). Thompson lost 8-4 to Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver, BC) where Thompson responded with a 8-2 win over Kim Slattery (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Thompson earned 1.941 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 25 of the event schedule, Thompson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thompson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
