To advance to the championship game, Claveau won 7-6 over Alek Bedard (Montreal, QC) in the semifinals of the 2018 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada; and won 7-3 over Frank O'Driscoll (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada;
Claveau finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Claveau defeated Ankur Barthukur (Montreal, QC) 11-5, then went on to lose 6-5 against Frederic Lawton (Montreal, QC). Claveau responded with a 7-5 win over Martin Roy (Gatineau, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
