Yukon/N.W.T.'s Don Twa won 11-5 against Nova Scotia's Richard Boyce. Yukon/N.W.T.'s Don Twa went on to lose 10-9 against Northern Ontario's Bill Tetley. Yukon/N.W.T.'s Don Twa responded with a 8-7 win over Saskatchewan's Harvey Mazinke. Yukon/N.W.T.'s Don Twa won 8-6 against Alberta's Tom Reed, then won 8-5 against Manitoba's Rod Hunter and 9-4 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Bob Cole. Yukon/N.W.T.'s Don Twa went on to lose 8-6 against British Columbia's Frank Beutle. Yukon/N.W.T.'s Don Twa responded with a 10-4 win over Quebec's Jim Ursel in their final qualifying round match.
