Burgess finished 7-5 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Burgess defeated Chris Silver (Fort Frances, ON) 6-4, then won 7-6 against Colin Koivula (Thunder Bay, ON) and 5-2 against Henderson. Burgess won 5-3 against Gary Weiss (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 5-3 against Hailey Beaudry (Thunder Bay, ON) and 5-2 against Ben Mikkelsen (Thunder Bay, ON). Burgess went on to lose 6-5 against Bonot. Burgess responded with a 7-5 win over Liane Fossum (Thunder Bay, ON). Burgess went on to lose 6-4 against Miles Harding (Thunder Bay, ON). Burgess lost 9-0 to Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON). Burgess lost 6-3 to Mike McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON). Burgess lost 5-3 to Frank Morissette (Thunder Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
