Penny Barker (Regina, SK) qualified for the 2018 Highland SWCT Event playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-3 against Candace Chisholm (Carlyle, SK). of the 2018 Highland SWCT Event in Regina, Saskatchewan;

Barker finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barker defeated Shalon Fleming (Regina, SK) 10-1, then went on to lose 7-3 against Rae Ann Williamson (Regina, SK). Barker responded with a 5-3 win over Jessica Mitchell (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
