Watkins finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Watkins defeated Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB) 5-1, then won 7-3 against Zachary Wasylik (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-3 against Liam Wachal (Winnipeg, MB). Watkins went on to lose 6-1 against Wiebe in their final qualifying round match.
