Freeman finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Freeman defeated Curtis McCannell (Pilot Mound, MB) 7-4, then won 8-3 against Dilello. Freeman went on to lose 1-0 against 's Kelly Marnoch. Freeman responded with a 8-3 win over Chambers in their final qualifying round match.
