Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON) lost 6-4 to Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Scotties, held January 27 - February 3, 2019 in Elmira, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Tippin won 11-4 over Jestyn Murphy (Mississauga, ON) in the semifinals of the 2019 Ontario Scotties in Elmira, Ontario;

Tippin finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tippin defeated Lauren Horton (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) 8-5, then went on to lose 9-4 against Cathy Auld (Kingston, ON). Tippin lost 7-1 to Homan where Tippin responded with a 8-0 win over Hollie Duncan (Toronto, ON). Tippin went on to lose 9-5 against Murphy. Tippin responded with a 8-3 win over Chelsea Brandwood (Listowel, ON). Tippin won 8-7 against Jacqueline Harrison (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Ontario Scotties, Tippin take home 16.500 world rankings points. For week 25 of the event schedule, Tippin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tippin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
