Podoll finished 2-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Podoll lost 6-5 to Anya Normandeau (St. Paul, MN), then responded with a 5-4 win over Kimberly Wapola (St. Paul, MN). Podoll went on to lose 8-1 against Kim. Podoll responded with a 8-2 win over Jennalee Johnson (St. Paul, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Dakota Challenger Spiel, Podoll take home 7.260 world rankings points along with the $744CDN prize.
