Min Ji Kim (Chuncheon, KOR) run at the 2018 Dakota Challenger Spiel came to an end in the semifinals with a 5-3 loss to Ann Podoll (Fargo, ND).

Kim finished 4-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Pam Mueller (Lakeville, MN) 12-2, then won 10-1 against Darcy Ellarby (Lakeville, MN) and 8-1 against Kim Rhyme (St. Paul, MN). Kim won 8-1 against Podoll in their final qualifying round match.

Kim earned 4.785 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Dakota Challenger Spiel. For week 18 of the event schedule, Kim did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kim ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
