Bernard finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bernard lost 5-3 to Siyu Han (Changchun, CHN), then responded with a 8-4 win over Maya Willertz (Midland, USA). Bernard won 5-4 against Parker Doig (Coldwater, ON). Bernard went on to lose 6-5 against Thea Coburn (Dundas, ON). Bernard responded with a 6-3 win over Erin Titkai (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
