To advance to the championship game, Deschenes won 6-5 over Lauren MacKay (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the Stu Sells U18 Junior Tankard in Weston, Ontario, Canada;
 
Deschenes finished 4-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deschenes defeated Jessica Guilbault (Grimsby, ON) 5-3, then won 8-3 against Sophia Johnston (Toronto, ON) and 8-2 against Aubrey Kropf (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Deschenes won 6-4 against MacKay in their final qualifying round match.
