Valeria Denisenko/Nikolay Lysakov (Irkutsk, RUS) qualified for the 2018 International Mixed Doubles Sochi playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 11-3 against Anastasia Moskaleva/Alexander Eremin (Moscow, RUS).
 
Denisenko/Lysakov finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Denisenko/Lysakov defeated Alina Biktimirova/Timur Gadzhikhanov (Moscow, RUS) 8-6, then won 11-1 against Lidia Sanchirova/Evgeny Sokolov (Novosibirsk, RUS) and 12-1 against Natalia Abramova/Victor Abramov (Moscow, RUS). Denisenko/Lysakov went on to lose 7-3 against Anastasia Eksuzian/Aleksandr Polushvaiko (Sochi, RUS). Denisenko/Lysakov lost 10-2 to Jayne Stirling/Fraser Kingan (Dumfries , SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 13 of the event schedule, Denisenko/Lysakov did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Denisenko/Lysakov ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
