Amos Mosaner (Trentino, ITA) won 7-6 over Robin Brydone (Perth, SCO) in the Final of the Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge, held November 2 - 4, 2018 in Bern, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Mosaner won 7-3 over Andrin Schnider (St. Gallen, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2018 Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge in Bern, Switzerland; and won 6-5 over Alexander Baumann (Baden Baden, GER) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge in Bern, Switzerland;
Mosaner finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mosaner defeated Rolf Bruggmann (Uzwil, SUI) 8-3, then went on to lose 6-1 against Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI). Mosaner responded with a 7-5 win over Sergio Vez (Vitoria-Gasteiz, ESP). Mosaner won 8-4 against Jan Hess (Zug, SUI), then won 8-4 against Martin Rios (Glarus, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Grand Prix Bern Inter Curling Challenge Championship title, Mosaner earned 23.855 world rankings points along with the $6,544CDN first prize cheque. Mosaner move up 19 spots after posting a net gain of 16.763 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 48th overall with 81.571 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Mosaner ranks 60th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 31.930 points earned so far this season.
