Cotter finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter lost 7-3 to Adam Cseke (Penticton, BC), then responded with a 8-3 win over Deane Horning (Castlegar, BC). Cotter won 5-2 against Grant Dezura (Maple Ridge , BC), then won 7-3 against Tardi in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Raymond James Kelowna Double Cash Championship title, Cotter earned 22.267 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque.
