To advance to the championship game, Fesser won 6-2 over Sherry Just (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2018 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-2 over 's Robyn Silvernagle in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;

Fesser finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fesser defeated 's Robyn Silvernagle 6-5, then went on to lose 8-4 against Candace Chisholm (Carlyle, SK). Fesser lost 6-4 to Chantele Broderson (Edmonton, AB) where Fesser responded with a 7-4 win over 's Jodi Marthaller in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Medicine Hat Charity Classic Championship title, Fesser earned 23.840 world rankings points along with the $3,200CDN first prize cheque. Fesser move up 28 spots after posting a net gain of 20.126 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 69th overall with 54.635 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
