Jie Mei (Harbin, CHN) qualified for the LGT World Women's Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-6 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). of the LGT World Women's Curling Championship in Silkeborg, Denmark;
Mei finished 7-5 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mei defeated Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) 9-3, then won 10-2 against Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN) and 10-7 against Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO). Mei won 6-5 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT), then won 8-4 against Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN). Mei went on to lose 9-7 against Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS). Mei responded with a 8-6 win over Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Mei went on to lose 8-7 against Chelsea Carey (Edmonton, CAN). Mei lost 9-8 to Tirinzoni. Mei lost 10-7 to Jamie Sinclair (Chaska, USA) where Mei responded with a 11-9 win over Min Ji Kim (Chuncheon City, KOR). Mei went on to lose 6-4 against Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
Mei earned 33.428 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the LGT World Women's Curling Championship. For week 32 of the event schedule, Mei did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mei ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
