Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) won 8-7 over Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the LGT World Women's Curling Championship, held March 16 - 24, 2019 in Silkeborg, Denmark. To advance to the championship game, Tirinzoni won 5-3 over Min Ji Kim (Chuncheon City, KOR) in the semifinals of the LGT World Women's Curling Championship in Silkeborg, Denmark; and won 7-6 over Jie Mei (Harbin, CHN) in the quarterfinals. of the LGT World Women's Curling Championship in Silkeborg, Denmark;
Tirinzoni finished 8-4 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni lost 11-5 to Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS), then responded with a 7-6 win over Oona Kauste (Aland, FIN). Tirinzoni went on to lose 8-5 against Hasselborg. Tirinzoni responded with a 9-3 win over Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN). Tirinzoni went on to lose 6-5 against Kim. Tirinzoni responded with a 8-5 win over Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT). Tirinzoni won 7-1 against Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO), then won 9-8 against Mei and 9-3 against Chelsea Carey (Edmonton, CAN). Tirinzoni won 7-6 against Seina Nakajima (Nagano, JPN), then won 5-4 against Jamie Sinclair (Chaska, USA). Tirinzoni went on to lose 10-8 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the LGT World Women's Curling Championship Championship title, Tirinzoni earned 83.570 world rankings points. Tirinzoni move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 52.647 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 435.120 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
