Kovaleva went on to lose 9-6 against Chelsea Carey (Edmonton, CAN). Kovaleva responded with a 7-4 win over Sophie Jackson (Stirling, SCO). Kovaleva won 9-4 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
