Harri Lill (Tallinn, EST) lost 8-4 to Wille Makela (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in the Final of the Latvia International Challenger, held October 25 - 28, 2018 in Tukums, Latvia. To advance to the championship game, Lill won 6-3 over Borys Jasiecki (Sopot, POL) in the semifinals of the 2018 Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia; and won 9-4 over Vadim Raev (Moscow, RUS) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Latvia International Challenger in Tukums, Latvia;

Lill finished 2-2 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lill lost 8-4 to Ulrik Damm (Hvidovre, DEN), then responded with a 8-7 win over Jasiecki. Lill went on to lose 6-3 against Michael Mueller (Aarau, SUI). Lill responded with a 8-6 win over Kriss Vonda (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Latvia International Challenger, Lill take home 7.167 world rankings points along with the $1,194CDN prize, moving up 97 spots the World Ranking Standings into 202nd place overall with 11.744 total points. Lill ranks 138th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.346 points earned so far this season.
