Elena Stern (Oberwallis , SUI) won 6-4 over Binia Feltscher (Switzerland, SUI) in the Final of the Womens Masters Basel, held October 12 - 14, 2018 at the Curlingzentrum Region Basel in Arlesheim, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Stern won 5-2 over Ursi Hegner (Uzwil, SUI) in the semifinals   of the 2018 Womens Masters Basel in Arlesheim, Switzerland, Switzerland; and won 4-3 over Irene Schori (Limmattal, SUI) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2018 Womens Masters Basel in Arlesheim, Switzerland, Switzerland; 
 
Stern finished 3-0 in the 19-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stern defeated Di Zhang (Harbin, CHN) 6-4, then won 6-3 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) and 10-1 against Nora Wuest (Wetzikon, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Womens Masters Basel Championship title, Stern earned 40.800 world rankings points along with the $13,154CDN first prize cheque. Stern move up 7 spots after posting a net gain of 35.408 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 26th overall with 138.457 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Stern ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 69.153 points earned so far this season.
