Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) won 6-2 over Josh Barry (Vancouver, BC) in the Final of the King Cash Spiel, held September 14 - 17, 2018 at the Golden Ears Curling Club in Maple Ridge, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Tardi won 8-4 over Daniel Wenzek (Langley, BC) in the semifinals
Tardi finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tardi lost 7-6 to Wenzek, then responded with a 5-4 win over Brayden Carpenter (New Westminster, BC). Tardi won 6-3 against Cody Tanaka (Richmond, BC), then won 6-0 against Adam Cseke (Penticton, BC) and 10-0 against Stephen Schneider (Vancouver, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the King Cash Spiel Championship title, Tardi earned 15.174 world rankings points along with the $4,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 52nd place overall with 69.521 total points. Tardi ranks 30th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.174 points earned so far this season.
