To advance to the championship game, Szekeres/Nagy won 7-2 over Maria Komarova/Daniil Goryachev (Moscow, RUS) in the semifinals of the 2019 International Mixed Doubles Trophy Aarau in Aarau, Switzerland; and won 12-4 over Irantzu Garcia/Gontzal Garcia (Vitoria-Gasteiz, ESP) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 International Mixed Doubles Trophy Aarau in Aarau, Switzerland;
 
Szekeres/Nagy finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Szekeres/Nagy defeated Daniela Rupp/Kevin Wunderlin (Zug, SUI) 8-3, then won 7-3 against Sandrine Morand/Romain Borini (Megeve, FRA) and 7-5 against Zuzana Paulova/Tomas Paul (Prague, CZE). Szekeres/Nagy went on to lose 5-3 against Anna Fowler/Ben Fowler (London, ENG). Szekeres/Nagy responded with a 8-7 win over Moskaleva/Eremin in their final qualifying round match.
