Stacey MacNeil/Brady Gould (Charlotte, NC) qualified for the 2018 Southern Mixed Doubles playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-1 against Katie Cottrill/Shawn Cottrill (Belgrave, ON).

MacNeil/Gould finished 3-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacNeil/Gould defeated Di Hicks/Kim Hicks (Durham, NC) 7-2, then won 16-1 against Deirdre Arnold/Richard Arnold (Durham, NC) and 9-5 against Maureen Stolt/Peter Stolt (Plymouth, MN). MacNeil/Gould went on to lose 0-0 against Cottrill/Cottrill in their final qualifying round match.
