To advance to the championship game, Koe won 7-5 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2018 Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling in Estevan, Saskatchewan;
Koe finished 4-2 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe lost 9-5 to Jacobs, then responded with a 9-6 win over Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK). Koe won 8-6 against John Epping (Toronto, ON), then won 4-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) and 10-3 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Koe went on to lose 11-6 against Gushue in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, Koe take home 63.583 world rankings points along with the $17,000CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 505.746 total points.
