Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggi -do, KOR) qualified for the 2018 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-6 against Kristen Streifel (Regina, SK).

Gim finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gim defeated Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB) 9-6, then won 7-5 against Streifel and 8-3 against Hailey Beaudry (Thunder Bay, NONT). Gim won 5-2 against Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Gim earned 17.903 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2.
