Kristen Streifel (Regina, SK) run at the 2018 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 came to an end in the semifinals with a 9-1 loss to Elena Stern (Oberwallis , SUI). of the 2018 GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2 in Thunder Bay, Ontario; Streifel advanced through the quarterfinals with a 8-6 win over Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggi -do, KOR).
 
Streifel finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Streifel lost 7-5 to Gim, then responded with a 5-3 win over Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON). Streifel went on to lose 10-6 against Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB). Streifel responded with a 6-4 win over Hailey Beaudry (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Streifel earned 25.362 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 2. For week 13 of the event schedule, Streifel did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Streifel ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
