Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON) won 7-5 over Eric Fenech (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the OJCT U18 Championship Invitational, held April 27 - 29, 2018 at the Leaside Curling Club in Toronto, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Mooibroek won 7-6 over Steven Rotskas (East York, ON) in the semifinals of the 2018 OJCT U18 Championship Invitational in Toronto, Ontario, Canada;
 
Mooibroek finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Jake Goves (Oakville, ON) 7-4, then won 6-4 against Landan Rooney (Mississauga, ON). Mooibroek went on to lose 6-5 against Fenech. Mooibroek responded with a 6-3 win over Evan Running (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
