To advance to the championship game, Geall won 7-5 over Thomas Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK) in the semifinals of the 2018 Driving Force Abbotsford Cashspiel in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada; and won 8-6 over Wylie Eden (Kelowna, BC) in the quarterfinals.
Geall finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Geall defeated Duncan Silversides (Victoria, BC) 7-0, then won 5-2 against Andrew Dunbar (Inuvik, NT) and 8-6 against Mark Longworth (Vernon, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Driving Force Abbotsford Cashspiel, Geall take home 14.407 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 38th place overall with 98.603 total points.
