Jacobs won 10-5 against Jon Solberg (Whitehorse, YK), then won 11-5 against Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC). Jacobs went on to lose 7-6 against Scott McDonald (Kingston, ON). Jacobs responded with a 7-6 win over Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). Jacobs went on to lose 7-5 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
