In their opening game, Szekeres defeated Anna Fowler (Kent, ENG) 11-4, then won 12-2 against Lucija Fabijanic (Zagreb, CRO) and 16-1 against Iulia Traila (Bucharest, ROU). Szekeres went on to lose 8-6 against Christine Gronbech (Hvidovre, DEN). Szekeres responded with a 7-3 win over Tatsiana Tarsunova (Minsk, BLR). Szekeres won 6-4 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR). Szekeres went on to lose 8-3 against Maia Ramsfjell (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
