Matsumura won 5-4 against Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN), then won 5-2 against Akemi Fujii (Nayoro, JPN) and 7-2 against Momoka Iwase (Hokkaido, JPN). Matsumura won 10-3 against Miwako Tatsudan (Hiroshima, JPN). Matsumura went on to lose 4-3 against Miori Nakamura (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Matsumura earned 10.296 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Japan Curling Championship, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 41st place overall with 165.700 total points. Matsumura ranks 43rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 77.868 points earned so far this season.
