Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) won 8-2 over Kristian Lindstroem (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish National Championship, held March 22 - 26, 2018 in Skelleftea, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Edin won 10-3 over Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2018 Swedish National Championship in Skelleftea, Sweden; and won 8-3 over Jon Melin (Skelleftea, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Swedish National Championship in Skelleftea, Sweden;

Edin finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Pelle Sjostrom (Skelleftea, SWE) 8-0, then won 8-3 against Nicklas Soderberg (Skelleftea, SWE) and 7-3 against Melin in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Swedish National Championship Championship title, Edin earned 30.923 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, Edin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 1st place on the World Ranking Standings with 993.775 total points. Edin ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 455.019 points earned so far this season.
