Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) won 4-1 over Veronica Maschmeyer (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the AJCT Players' Championship, held March 16 - 18, 2018 in . To advance to the championship game, Sturmay won 8-2 over Lauren Marks (Leduc, AB) in the semifinals

Sturmay finished 3-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Maschmeyer 6-4, then went on to lose 8-5 against Jessica Wytrychowski (Calgary, AB). Sturmay lost 7-2 to Abby Marks (Edmonton, AB) where Sturmay responded with a 7-2 win over Ryleigh Bakker (Calgary, AB). Sturmay won 8-2 against Wytrychowski in their final qualifying round match.
