In their opening game, Doucet lost 8-2 to Nicolas Oake (St. Albert, AB), then responded with a 11-1 win over Thomas Crawford (Ponoka, AB). Doucet won 8-4 against Luc Blanchette (Donnelly, AB). Doucet went on to lose 5-2 against Ayden Whittmire (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
