Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) lost 6-4 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN) in the Final of the Tim Hortons Brier, held March 3 - 11, 2018 in Regina, Saskatchewan. To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 6-4 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan;
 
Bottcher finished 8-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher lost 7-6 to Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 9-2 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Bottcher won 9-8 against Sean Geall (Kelowna, BC), then won 9-2 against Greg Smith (St. John's, NL) and 7-5 against Thomas Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK). Bottcher won 10-7 against Gushue, then won 9-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Bottcher went on to lose 8-6 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Bottcher responded with a 8-2 win over Reid Carruthers (West St. Paul, MB). Bottcher went on to lose 9-7 against Epping. Bottcher responded with a 9-3 win over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Tim Hortons Brier, Bottcher take home 57.371 world rankings points. Bottcher move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 39.569 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 13th overall with 428.851 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
