Bottcher won 10-7 against Gushue, then won 9-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Bottcher went on to lose 8-6 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). Bottcher responded with a 8-2 win over Reid Carruthers (West St. Paul, MB). Bottcher went on to lose 9-7 against Epping. Bottcher responded with a 9-3 win over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Tim Hortons Brier, Bottcher take home 57.371 world rankings points. Bottcher move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 39.569 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 13th overall with 428.851 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
