Paetz finished 7-2 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Paetz defeated Ursi Hegner (Uzwil, SUI) 12-7, then won 8-2 against Feltscher. Paetz went on to lose 5-4 against Stern. Paetz responded with a 8-7 win over Chantale Widmer (Schaffhausen, SUI). Paetz won 7-1 against Cynthia Gertsch (Dubendorf, SUI), then won 7-3 against Gertsch and 7-6 against Stern. Paetz won 11-5 against Widmer. Paetz went on to lose 8-6 against Feltscher in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Swiss Curling Championship, Paetz take home 16.929 world rankings points.
