Bruggmann lost 7-4 to Jan Hess (Zug, SUI) where Bruggmann responded with a 10-4 win over Dimitri Boada (Geneve, SUI). Bruggmann went on to lose 8-2 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI). Bruggmann responded with a 10-9 win over Bjorn Jungen (Adelboden, SUI). Bruggmann won 7-3 against Christian Bangerter (Bern, SUI). Bruggmann went on to lose 8-7 against Lucien Lottenbach (Luzern, SUI). Bruggmann lost 7-6 to Kim-Lloyd Sciboz (Lausanne, SUI). Bruggmann lost 9-2 to Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Bruggmann earned 2.009 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 34 spots the World Ranking Standings into 337th place overall with 6.747 total points. Bruggmann ranks 271st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.369 points earned so far this season.
