In their opening game, Munn defeated Peter Myers (Saint John, NB) 7-2, then won 8-4 against Wayne Cooper (Saint John, NB) and 10-1 against George Anderson (Sackville, NB). Munn went on to lose 6-3 against Rod Aube (Fredericton, NB). Munn lost 7-3 to Gary Mitchell (Saint John, NB). Munn lost 6-2 to Tallon in their final qualifying round match.
