To advance to the championship game, Fournier won 9-8 over Martin Ferland (Levis, QC) in the semifinals of the 2018 WFG Quebec Tankard in Dollard Des Ormeaux, Quebec, Canada;
Fournier finished 6-3 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fournier defeated Jeffrey Stewart (Montreal, QC) 9-4, then won 10-6 against Pier-Luc Trepanier (Valleyfield, QC) and 9-7 against Francois Gagne (Montreal, QC). Fournier won 10-2 against Benoit Vezeau (Montreal, QC), then won 7-4 against Menard and 5-3 against Simon Dupuis (Montreal, QC). Fournier went on to lose 7-1 against Jean-Sebastien Roy (Chicoutimi, QC). Fournier lost 10-6 to Vincent Roberge (Levis, QC). Fournier lost 7-2 to Ferland in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the WFG Quebec Tankard Championship title, Fournier earned 16.313 world rankings points. Fournier move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 15.944 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 58th overall with 126.344 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
