Daniel Magnusson (Karlstad, SWE) won 9-2 over Kevin Mattsson (Ostersund, SWE) in the Final of the Swedish Junior Mens Championship, held December 14 - 17, 2017 in Karlstad, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Magnusson won 8-0 over Emil Hermansson (Ostersund, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2018 Swedish Junior Mens Championship in Karlstad, Sweden;
 
Magnusson finished 3-2 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Magnusson lost 4-3 to Mattsson, then responded with a 7-1 win over Mans Winge (Sundbyberg, SWE). Magnusson won 5-2 against Hermansson. Magnusson went on to lose 6-5 against Robin Ahlberg (Gavle, SWE). Magnusson responded with a 7-1 win over Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Swedish Junior Mens Championship Championship title, Magnusson earned 6.983 world rankings points. For week 19 of the event schedule, Magnusson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Magnusson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
