Ackerman won 7-6 against St. Onge. Ackerman went on to lose 6-4 against Selke. Ackerman responded with a 7-6 win over Mark Walter (Lampman, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Ackerman earned 3.825 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the SaskTel Tankard Southern Qualifier.
