Mark Longworth (Vernon, BC) finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Longworth defeated Paul Henderson (Victoria, BC) 7-4, then won 6-5 against Stephen Schneider (New Westminster, BC) and 7-5 against Jeff Guignard (New Westminster, BC). Longworth won 9-6 against Glen Jackson (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the BC Mens - Lower Mainland Playdowns Championship title, Longworth earned 9.975 world rankings points. For week 22 of the event schedule, Longworth did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Longworth ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
