Jeff Guignard (New Westminster, BC) finished 4-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Guignard defeated Wylie Eden (Penticton, BC) 9-8, then won 5-3 against Ken McArdle (New Westminster, BC). Guignard went on to lose 7-5 against Mark Longworth (Vernon, BC). Guignard responded with a 8-1 win over Richard Brower (Richmond, BC). Guignard won 5-3 against Grant Dezura (Maple Ridge, BC). Guignard went on to lose 7-1 against Glen Jackson (Victoria, BC). Guignard lost 7-6 to Eden in their final qualifying round match.

Guignard earned 1.425 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 22 of the event schedule, Guignard did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Guignard ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
