Penny Barker (Moose Jaw, SK) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Barker finished 4-4 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barker defeated Taryn Holtby (Saskatoon, SK) 8-5, then went on to lose 4-3 against Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK). Barker lost 8-6 to Candace Chisholm (Carlyle, SK) where Barker responded with a 8-7 win over Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK). Barker won 6-3 against Ashley Howard (Regina, SK), then won 7-4 against Amber Holland (Regina, SK). Barker went on to lose 8-4 against Sherry Anderson (Saskatoon, SK). Barker lost 9-5 to Chantelle Eberle (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Barker earned 6.525 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Viterra Saskatchewan Scotties. For week 22 of the event schedule, Barker did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Barker ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
