Scheidegger finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheidegger defeated Nadine Scotland (Calgary, AB) 7-5, then went on to lose 9-6 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Scheidegger responded with a 7-4 win over Laura Crocker (Edmonton, AB). Scheidegger won 5-4 against Kleibrink, then won 9-8 against Sweeting in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Jiffy Lube Alberta Scotties Championship title, Scheidegger earned 33.443 world rankings points, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 449.707 total points. Scheidegger ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 177.765 points earned so far this season.
