In their opening game, Provencher defeated Samuel Roberge (Levis, QC) 9-8, then won 8-4 against Vincent Roberge (Levis, QC) and 10-6 against Thomas Lo (Montreal, QC). Provencher went on to lose 8-4 against Bedard. Provencher responded with a 8-2 win over Jerome Adam (Val d'Or, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
