In their opening game, MacFadyen defeated Chase MacMillan (Charlottetown, PEI) 12-1, then won 7-3 against Mitchell Schut (Cornwall, PEI) and 9-4 against Schut. MacFadyen won 8-6 against Schut in their final qualifying round match.
