Daniel Bruce (Corner Brook, NL) finished 4-6 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bruce defeated Sawer Kaeser (Fort Smith, NT) 7-3, then won 12-2 against Javen Komaksiutiksak (Iqaluit, NU). Bruce went on to lose 10-5 against Matthew Hall (Kitcher-Waterloo, ON). Bruce lost 11-3 to Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT). Bruce lost 10-3 to Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB) where Bruce responded with a 8-7 win over Alex MacFadyen (Summerside, PEI). Bruce went on to lose 7-6 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). Bruce lost 7-6 to JT Ryan (Winnipeg, MB). Bruce lost 5-3 to Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) where Bruce responded with a 7-5 win over Alek Bedard (Lacolle, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

Bruce earned 2.382 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 24 of the event schedule, Bruce did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Bruce ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
