Lindsay Makichuk (Spruce Grove, AB) finished 5-3 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Makichuk lost 8-2 to Holly Scott (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 8-4 win over Kellie Henricks (Edmonton, AB). Makichuk won 9-2 against Marla Sherrer (Lacombe, AB). Makichuk went on to lose 8-4 against Nicky Kaufman (Edmonton, AB). Makichuk responded with a 9-2 win over Ocean Smart (Edmonton, AB). Makichuk won 8-0 against Deanne Nichol (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-1 against Kaufman. Makichuk went on to lose 11-5 against Sherrer in their final qualifying round match.

Makichuk earned 3.074 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 19 of the event schedule, Makichuk did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Makichuk ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
